India's first commercial semiconductor chip foundry racing to make chips as early as 2025

India's first semiconductor wafer from a commercial foundry is expected to be baked in the year 2025. Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting Ashwini Vaishnaw has been telling the audience and the press he is addressing recently, that the first made in India chip is expected to be fabricated by the end of this year.
