VeriSilicon and Innobase unveil 5G RedCap/4G LTE dual-mode modem solution

VeriSilicon and Innobase have joined forces to introduce a groundbreaking 5G RedCap/4G LTE dual-mode modem solution, marking a significant milestone in wireless communication technology. This collaborative effort leverages the expertise of both companies to deliver a cutting-edge chip that meets the demands of next-generation connectivity.

The newly launched modem solution features a chip that has undergone rigorous tape-out and verification processes, signaling its readiness for mass production and imminent global release. Powered by 5G Reduced Capability (RedCap) technology, defined by 3GPP in 5G Release 17, the solution caters to mid-to-high speed IoT applications. By seamlessly integrating 4G LTE capabilities, it offers a comprehensive cellular IoT ecosystem to address diverse connectivity needs.

This strategic collaboration between VeriSilicon and Innobase expands VeriSilicon's wireless communication IP portfolio, empowering customers with access to versatile 4G and 5G modem IP solutions. Moreover, the partnership aims to deliver complete user equipment (UE) reference designs, encompassing essential components like radio frequency (RF) transceivers and power management chipsets. This holistic approach ensures that customers receive comprehensive solutions tailored to their connectivity requirements.

The joint unveiling of the 5G RedCap/4G LTE dual-mode modem solution by VeriSilicon and Innobase heralds a new era in wireless connectivity. By combining their expertise, the two companies have developed a cutting-edge solution that not only meets the demands of next-generation IoT applications but also offers seamless integration with existing 4G LTE networks. As the modem solution enters mass production and prepares for its global debut, it represents a significant leap forward in advancing wireless communication technology.
