Huawei opts Broadcom's small cell baseband processor silicon

Huawei has chosen Broadcom's Small Cell Baseband Processor family of solutions for WCDMA small cell access point deployments. Huawei has incorporated the Broadcom BCM61670 family inside its small cell product line of the ePicoxx series.

Liu Ju, General Manager for Small Cell PDT, Wireless Network BU, Huawei says "The small cell market is a very important part of Huawei's mobile broadband strategy and will help operators reach long-term success. We chose Broadcom's small cell solution to bring the same macro network user experience to mobile broadband, achieving high data rates at lower power and cost."
