Solar International awards SoloPower with Solar Industry Award

Solar International, a PV Management magazine, has presented SoloPower, the San Jose, California-based company in thin-film solar cells and modules, the Thin Film Innovation Award – CIGS Technology. This award was received by Bart Van Ouystel, who leads SoloPower’s sales efforts in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), on September 24, 2012 in Frankfurt, Germany.

SoloPower utilizes proprietary roll-to-roll electro deposition manufacturing technology to deliver low-cost, lightweight and flexible high efficiency CIGS-based photovoltaic cells. The thin-film panel manufacturer was picked from more than 2,000 nominations. The month-long voting process garnered more than 40,000 overall votes from industry experts, solidifying winners as honorable members of the global solar and photovoltaic community for the value that they donate to the industry.

This was the fourth year for the Solar Industry awards.
