Forum on DSP using FPGA by Altera, Arrow and MathWorks
Altera Corporation has announced its "DSP forum" in North America. This forum is jointly presented by the representatives from Altera, Arrow Electronics and MathWorks.
Forum attendees will learn from the leaders in digital signal processing (DSP) about application specific DSP design methodologies that target Altera FPGAs.
Experts from the military, wireless, and industrial spaces will discuss how the model-based design flow supported by Altera's DSP builder, together with MATLAB, Simulink, and HDL coder from MathWorks, can help customers implement high-performance floating-point DSP algorithms.
What: DSP forum presented by Altera and Arrow Electronics, with contributions from MathWorks
Dates: May 1-June 7, 2012
Locations: Chicago, IL; Dallas, TX; Boston, MA; Baltimore, MD; San Jose, CA; Los Angeles, CA
Featured technology: Cyclone V FPGAs, Arria V FPGAs, Stratix V FPGAs, DSP builder and video design framework
Highlights of the forum:
1. Developing end-to-end solutions for floating-point Pulse-Doppler radar in military systems.
2. Seeing fixed and floating-point implementations within an Altera FPGA for motor control industrial solutions.
3. Learning about the video design framework productivity and seamless integration of the Altera VIP suite with custom video processing IP cores.
4. Discussing techniques to optimize high-power amplifiers used in wireless systems and development of giga-sample data paths for digital up/down conversion.
