India Electronics back on track

For nearly two decades the word 'electronics' has faded and blurred by giving way to "IT" and software. Now the Government and the engineering industry have realized how core is the electronics to the development of economics. Department of IT (DIT), Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, was officially rechristened as Dept of Electronics & IT (DeitY)

The Minister of Communications & IT Shri Kapil Sibal said the National Policy on Electronics is under finalization. National policy on Electronics addresses all the needs to build the eco and sytems to bridge the supply demand gap of electronic equipments and devices in India.
