Intel leverages Lava to enter global smart phone market via India
For Intel, India is looking to be an important and bigger market than any other region to enter smart-phone domain. One of the India's leading local phone brand Lava is selected by Intel as partner to launch its Atom processor powered smart phone in India. The news is the new phone 'XOLO X900' is available in the Indian shops from Apr 23 at a street price of Rs. 22000 is powered by Android OS Gingerbread and is ready for Ice-cream-sandwitch. Lava is having arrangements with mobile and digital gadget seller Croma to make XOLO X900 available in all Croma stores.
The 1.6 GHz speed Atom processor based mobile phone IC by Intel used in XOLO X900 packs graphic processor and hyper thread technology to deliver rich and fast graphics supporting HD Video, gaming and video watching and any such mobile phone entertainment apps.

Operating System: Begin with Android Gingerbread and over-the -air software upgrade to Android's Ice Cream Sandwich shortly.
