Video of Nordic's iOS demo app on wireless accessories n/w with iPhone 4S

Nordic Semiconductor has produced an on-line 'how-to' video of its recently launched iOS Demo App. The iOS Demo App is based on a API (Application Programming Interface) from smartphone fitness technology company - Wahoo Fitness - that is designed to provide developers with ready-built design framework to speed up development of ANT+ and Bluetooth Smart (as Bluetooth low energy will now be marketed to consumers) wireless connectivity apps and accessories for the iPhone 4S.

On of example application is Bluetooth Smart heart-rate belt monitor from Wahoo Fitness that is available to purchase now from the company's website for use with the iPhone 4S.

"This 'how-to' video and the iOS Demo App are just the beginning," comments Geir Langeland, Nordic Semiconductor's Director of Sales & Marketing. "Nordic plans to release many more videos over the coming weeks and months and to expand its support to other smartphone platforms as well as adding sample application support for even more wireless accessories."

The nRFready iOS Demo App is available now for nRF8000 and nRF24AP2 Series IC customers.
