GEO Semiconductor has entered into a strategic partnership with AppBanc

GEO Semiconductor Inc. has announced that it has entered into a strategic technology partnership with AppBanc LLC.

GEO says the end product of the partnership will provide customers with sophisticated functions on their smartphone cameras with performance that equals or improves upon conventional digital point-and-shoot still cameras, while also enabling new features currently not available from any other source.

"Smartphones are increasingly becoming the primary device for communications, and camera functionality is a key part of that," said Paul Russo, GEO's CEO "The partnership will enable improved camera features for consumers and enable novel camera applications in multiple areas,
including video communications."
