Global semiconductor manufacturing equipment billings reached US$ 10.6B in 3Q11
SEMI has reported that worldwide semiconductor manufacturing equipment billings reached US$ 10.6 billion in the third quarter of 2011. The billings figure is 11 percent lower than the second quarter of 2011 and 5 percent lower than the same quarter a year ago. The data is gathered in jointly with the Semiconductor Equipment Association of Japan (SEAJ) from over 100 global equipment companies that provide data on a monthly basis.
Worldwide semiconductor equipment bookings were US$ 7.6 billion in the third quarter of 2011. The figure is 38 percent less than the same quarter a year ago and 29 percent lower than the bookings figure for the second quarter of 2011.
