Barco providing projectors for 42nd International Film Festival of India

Barco is selected to play a part in the International Film Festival of India ongoing in Goa from 23 November to 3 December 2011. This year's edition of the festival, one of the biggest events of its kind in Asia, highlights the use of technology with a selection of 3D stereoscopic movies, amongst other features. Barco has provided four digital cinema projectors based on DLP technology. The DP2K-20c, DP2K-32b and DP2000 projectors ensure the consistent picture brightness, rich contrast and vibrant colors required to bring the filmmakers' cinematic creations to life, says Barco.

With 450 screens already converted, digital cinema is gaining in popularity in the Indian market, these days. It is estimated that another 400 screens will turn digital in the course of 2012, stated in the Barco release.
