Tridents' HiDTV Pro-SXL SoC in AOC's digital TVs

Trident Microsystems Inc. has announced that its HiDTV Pro-SXL system-on-a-chip (SoC) has been adopted in AOC's new series of Digital TVs for Brazil and other South American markets and has begun volume shipment.

According to Trident, in 2010 it supported AOC's entry into the Brazilian digital TV market with its HiDTV Pro-SX1 solution and is now following up with the HiDTV Pro-SXL, provides the scalability required for AOC to address different segments of the DTV market ranging from standard DTV to DTVs with full IP capabilities. When coupled with Trident's FRC MEMC solution, AOC is able to extend the same design to address the high end 120Hz market as well.
