Cosmic Circuits releases video on its silicon validation lab
Cosmic Circuits, has showcased a short video of their silicon validation lab capabilities and infrastructure. The video can be accessed through Cosmic Circuits' web-site and YouTube at the following link (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k2trJ8-MVCU).
Cosmic Circuits believes that a lab is essential for the success of a semiconductor company focused on analog and mixed signal solutions. The infrastructure includes a13GHz bandwidth real-time oscilloscope, a 3.35Gb/s bit error rate tester, ultra-low noise signal generators, high-bandwidth spectrum analyzers, industry standard audio analyzers, high-accuracy temperature forcing machines and 8.5-digit accurate DC meters.
Cosmic Circuits says as part of silicon validation, the designs go through exhaustive characterization on 30 devices and achieved by very high level of automation on the bench setups. Cosmic Circuits has developed the necessary automation software and the hardware to enable this.
Amit Premy, Director of Operations at Cosmic Circuits, commented that "Exhaustive validation and characterization is essential to achieve high quality silicon. For analog and mixed signal IPs and ASICs, silicon validation becomes even more complex, time taking and challenging. At Cosmic Circuits, we have tried to build a world class lab which enables us to release our quality solutions to market, on-time"
Yaki Luzon VP GM APAC of N-trig commented that "We develop products for consumer electronics where market window is very short. We are glad to see the investment of Cosmic in its silicon validation lab, as we are able to correlate our system level work to component level in Cosmic Circuits Lab. This investment from Cosmic gives us the confidence that cosmic is committed to provide high quality solutions and also a fast turnaround time when an issue is faced"
Cheong Ban Chuan, Analog & Mixed Signal IP Manager of Global Foundries commented that "Our customers require high quality and precise characterization of IP targeted for our processes. This requires a high level of investment from our IP partners in lab infrastructure to thoroughly characterize the IP and provide a full characterization report to our customers. We are pleased to see the investment of Cosmic Circuits towards its silicon validation lab and application board capabilities"
