Berkeley Design Automation names ICON Design Automation as representative in India

Analog Semiconductor chip design software vendor Berkeley Design Automation, Inc., has announced new agreements with leading EDA distributors in response to increased market demand for its Analog FastSPICE Platform. Berkeley Design Automation has selected Neutronics Solutions as representative in Canada, ICON Design Automation as representative in India, and Advanced Semiconductor Technology Ltd. (AST) as representative in Israel.

"The AFS Platform has a strong reputation for accuracy, performance, and capacity in nanometer circuit verification," said R. Varalakshmi, CEO of ICON Design Automation. "We are delighted to offer Berkeley Design Automation products, which are essential for next-generation nanometer circuit verification, to the Indian market.

"Berkeley Design Automation is a wonderful addition to our product offering," said David Stubbs, president of Neutronics Solutions. "The Analog FastSPICE Platform is widely recognized as the industry's leading verification platform for analog, RF, and mixed-signal design. As always, Neutronics Solutions is committed to bringing leading design solutions to the Canadian market."

"Berkeley Design Automation has demonstrated leadership in nanometer circuit verification," said Uri Farkash, director of EDA & IP operations at AST. "Representing Berkeley Design Automation will enable AST to make the AFS Platform available to all customers engaged in nanometer analog, RF and mixed-signal applications in Israel."

Berkeley Design Automation says it Analog FastSPICE Platform is the industry's only unified verification platform for nanometer analog, RF, mixed-signal, and custom digital circuits. The AFS Platform combines foundry-certified nm SPICE accuracy, 5x-10x faster single-core performance than any other SPICE circuit simulator, >10M-element capacity, and the industry's only comprehensive silicon-accurate device noise analysis, claims Berkeley Design Automation. According to Berkeley Design Automation, the AFS Platform is a single executable that uses advanced algorithms and numerical analysis to rapidly solve the original device equations and full-circuit matrix without any approximations. It includes licenses for AFS Nano SPICE simulation, AFS circuit simulation, AFS Transient Noise Analysis, AFS RF Analysis, and AFS Co-Simulation.

"Canada, India, and Israel are key markets for nanometer semiconductor design," said Ravi Subramanian, president and CEO of Berkeley Design Automation. "We have seen significant worldwide increased demand for the AFS Platform. By partnering with the premium EDA distributors in Canada, India, and Israel, Berkeley Design Automation continues to ensure the long-term success of its customers worldwide."
