TI becomes member of Embedded Vision Alliance
Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI) has announced its membership in the Embedded Vision Alliance (EVA). Founded in 2011 and led by BDTI, EVA represents an industry collaboration of embedded systems industry.
"We are seeing consumer demand for 'sight' in every application growing rapidly," said Niels Anderskouv, vice president, Digital Signal Processing Systems, TI. "Today, TI vision technology is changing the way people work, communicate and play. The future of that growth rests on companies that can work together to innovate, enable rapid development and provide software that allows customers to move quickly to meet that growth. We believe the Embedded Vision Alliance is a significant step in meeting that demand."

"TI has been a pioneer in embedded vision applications, putting them in an excellent position to help EVA as we collaborate to enable the proliferation of embedded vision into hundreds of new applications."
The EVA's plans for the future include aligning on technology standards, educational programs, industry analysis, and more - all free to the public and maintained through member and industry contributions. Other founding members include Xilinx, IMS Research, Analog Devices, Apical, Avnet Electronics Marketing, CEVA, CogniVue, Freescale, National Instruments, NVIDIA, Tokyo Electron Device, MathWorks, Ximea, and XMOS.
