CBIP and IEEMA are partnering to develop power sector in India

The Central Board of Irrigation and Power (CBIP) and the Indian Electrical & Electronics Manufacturers' Association (IEEMA) today signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to synergise their efforts towards development of the power sector in India.

The MOU was signed by Mr. V K Kanjlia, Secretary, CBIP and Mr. P V Krishna, Director General, IEEMA on behalf of the two organizations.

According to Mr. Krishna and Mr. Kanjlia, "over the years, CBIP and IEEMA have developed expertise and capabilities in different areas related to the power sector. The MOU will have a multiplier effect on their wide range of activities. While the prime constituency of CBIP is central and state utilities, that of IEEMA is the only Association for electrical equipment manufacturing industry. Under the MOU, CBIP and IEEMA will collaborate in jointly organising national / international level seminars and conferences, conducting studies, preparing reports, consultancy services, study missions, case studies, R&D activities, technical training and so on".
