Million RXC single-room Controllers made by Siemens based on Echelon's LonWorks
Echelon Corporation has announced that its customer, Siemens Building Technologies division has sold one million LonWorks based Desigo RXC single-room controllers for improved building energy management in more than 6000 customer projects. RXC controllers provide individual room control and monitoring of temperature, ventilation, air conditioning lighting and blinds for public buildings, offices and hotels and ensure optimal energy efficiency.
The eu.bac-certified RXC controllers allow for high-precision room temperature control and provide power savings of up to 14% over standard controllers and meet the requirements for BACS energy performance class A as defined in EN152332.
"This significant milestone speaks to the widespread customer adoption of our RXC controllers, delivering user-friendly control of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, lights and blinds for all types of buildings and sizes," said Olaf Mittrach, product manager for RX controllers for Siemens. "Utilizing Echelon's LonWorks platform as part of this product has been instrumental in delivering an energy-efficient, flexible building automation and control system."
