Renesas' R-Car Series SoCs to support Microsoft Windows Embedded Compact 7

Renesas has announced its support of the newly released Microsoft Windows Embedded Compact 7 operating system for the company's systems-on-chip (SoCs) including the R-Car series of SoCs to offer new functionality and a development environment that supports the quick creation of small, smart, securely connected devices.

"Windows Embedded Compact 7 delivers the latest technologies for building the next generation of specialized devices," said D'Arcy Salzmann, senior product manager for Windows Embedded at Microsoft. "We are excited to work with Renesas Electronics to bring developers and designers a powerful real-time OS and a full tools suite, enabling an integrated, streamlined development experience that helps speed devices to market."
