AuthenTec DRM secures Alcatel OT-980 Android phone
TCL Communication has chosen AuthenTec's DRM Fusion Agent for integration in its new Alcatel OT-980 Android smartphone. AuthenTec's DRM Fusion Agent for Android helps ensure multimedia content protection and monetization opportunities for TCL Communication's operator customers by ensuring seamless access and playback of protected content by OT-980 smartphone users.

The Alcatel OT-980 is an Android 2.1-based smartphone which combines a 2.8-inch touch screen with a QWERTY keypad for enhanced, touch-based functionality. The OT-980 is offered in Europe and Asia and gives users quick mobile access to a range of services including those available from Google including Gmail, Google Talk, and YouTube.
