Broadcom revenues going up due to demand in mobile and wireless semiconductor chips
Broadcom Corporation has updated its financial guidance for the fourth quarter of 2010 at its 2010 Analyst Day by increasing net Revenue to the top end of the prior range to approximately $1.9 billion.
"Our increased revenue guidance reflects stronger than expected demand for products in our Mobile and Wireless markets versus our initial expectations entering the quarter," said Scott McGregor, President and Chief Executive Officer of Broadcom.
The other quarterly guidance reviews in semiconductor domain have come from Lattice, TI and Diode Inc.
Lattice Semiconductor is expecting its fourth quarter revenue is expected to be down 2% to 7% on a sequential basis.
Diodes Incorporated said it is maintaining its revenue and gross margin guidance for the fourth quarter of 2010 as it anticipates revenue to range between $160 million and $168 million, or between a decrease of 2 percent and an increase of 3 percent sequentially.
Texas Instruments has narrowed its guidance for the 4th Q 2010 in the range of $3.43 - 3.57 billion, compared with the prior guidance it has projected in the range of $3.36 - 3.64 billion.
