TI fine-tunes its 4th quarter 2010 revenue outlook

In a scheduled update to its business outlook for the fourth quarter of 2010, Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI) narrowed its expected ranges for revenue and earnings per share (EPS).

The company currently expects its financial results to be within the following ranges:
Revenue: $3.43 - 3.57 billion, compared with the prior range of $3.36 - 3.64 billion
EPS: $0.61 - 0.65, compared with the prior range of $0.59 - 0.67

Texas Instruments had reported a third-quarter 2010 revenue of $3.74 billion. TI had reported overall growth in all product categories in 3rd Q 2010 with industrial sector going strong.

In the 3rd quarter 2010 revenue release, Rich Templeton, TI chairman, president and chief executive officer had said "As we move into the fourth quarter, we expect sequentially lower revenue reflecting a combination of seasonal patterns, continued soft demand in computing and consumer markets, and slowing growth in the industrial market"
