Mentor Graphics acquires certain assets of CodeSourcery

Mentor Graphics has acquired certain assets of CodeSourcery, Inc. (Granite Bay, CA) with an eye on providing more open source design software for electronics engineers.

The Sourcery G++ product from CodeSourcery is a software development environment based on the GNU Toolchain, is popular choice of software engineers, operating system vendors, semiconductor companies, and device manufacturers. The Sourcery VSIPL++ product, a portable, parallel signal- and image-processing toolkit, boosts performance and increases productivity for radar, sonar, and imaging applications.
