IAR Systems provide software support for ST's SPEAr MPUs

IAR Systems which is already supporting ST's STM32 and STM8 microcontroller families now adds support for SPEAr processors in the IAR Embedded Workbench. SPEAr is a family of embedded MPUs targeting networked devices used for communication, display and control.

"The work we are doing with IAR further demonstrates ST's commitment to significantly enlarge the suite of development tools available for the SPEAr embedded microprocessor family, in addition to increasing the overall SPEAr offering," said Loris Valenti, Group VP and General Manager, Computer Systems Division, STMicroelectronics.
