"Tapping the Tablet Opportunity" webinar by Strategy Analytics on Nov 3, 2010
To share its research data on Tablet computer sales, Strategy Analytics is hosting an invitation-only webinar, "Tapping the Tablet Opportunity," on November 3, 2010. Findings from this analysis and additional tablet research from the firm will be discussed.
The Strategy Analytics Mobile Broadband Opportunities (MBO) service report, "Tablet Futures: Assessing the Impact of Subsidies and Data Pricing," predicts that greater use of operator retail stores and subsidies could grow volumes of tablet sales by over 70% in the US and Europe.
"Mobile operators can be influential in driving an accelerated growth of the tablet market," notes Chris Ambrosio, Executive Director of the Strategy Analytics Global Wireless Practice. "We see further upside and a win-win opportunity for content providers to work with operators."
Martin Bradley, co-author of the report, adds, "Subsidies can be an important tool to promote tablet sales, but operators need to price data plans at levels that support profitability."
