Advantech introduces new ordering process for WebAccess Version 7.0
Advantech has introduced a new ordering process for WebAccess Version 7.0. Advantech has separated the order processing method for the software and control file into two parts. In the past, customers ordered both at the same time which increased delivery time because Advantech needed to manufacture a customized control file for shipment, but now customers can order the software (on a CD or USB stick) and control file separately, and Advantech will have the control file ready for download from their website by the time the customer receives their software. This also significantly improves the process for customers looking to upgrade WebAccess with more tags, as they can simply order an additional control file which will be ready for them on Advantech's website as well.
WebAccess software is strictly based on Web architectures. This consists of three parts: Project Node, SCADA Node and Client Node. Project Node is the development platform for WebAccess, SCADA Node is the data acquisition and supervisory control node which is connected with field hardware and users in Client Node can remotely view data and live pictures on the site. Engineers can create, configure and manage projects with the ability to view and control real time data through Ethernet or Internet. WebAccess also supports Thin Client allowing the use of mobile devices to access system data.
