OptimalTest integrates its test software on Advantest's T2000 open architecture test platform

Semiconductor-fab specific automated test management software vendor OptimalTest has integrated its test software on Advantest's T2000 test gear used in semiconductor device testing, particularly advanced semiconductor chips. Advantest says this collaboration will benefit T2000's SoC production test with the ability to achieve further significant improvements in yield, early detection of product, process and operational issues; reliability; reduced test time; production quality and Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) while keeping test costs low.

T2000 is Advantest's first line of automated test equipment for semiconductor manufacturing based on the OPENSTAR platform. The T2000 systems were first shipped in October 2003.
