Solid growth for Taiwan's semiconductor chip industry in 2010

Here are the April month's revenue figures of some of the Taiwan's semiconductor companies to get the hint of how Taiwan's semiconductor industry is catching up growth in this 2nd quarter of 2010.

TSMC has reported net sales of NT$32.68 billion in April 2010, monthly sequential growth of 6% and a 50.3% growth compared same month year ago.

UMC reported monthly sales of NT$9.32 billion in April 2010, slight fall compared to previous month revenues of NT$9.48 billion but a growth of 35.5% compared to year ago.

ProMOS Technologies reported its net sales for April 2010 were NT$ 2230 million, an increase of 22.63 percent over March 2010 and an increase of 228.15 percent over April 2009.

Vanguard International Semiconductor has announced net sales of NT$ 1,330 million for April 2010, representing a 31.88% increase from NT$ 1,009 million of the same period last year. For the period of January to April 2010, accumulated net sales totaled NT$ 4,904 million.
