Viking Modular selects SandForce processor for its solid-state drive devices

Viking Modular Solutions, a division of Sanmina-SCI has selected SandForce high performance processors for its solid-state drive (SSD) products.

Viking Modular Solutions' SSD products support high performance standard serial attached SCSI (SAS) 6Gb/s and serial advanced technology attachment (SATA) 3Gb/s using 2.5-inch form-factor SSDs. Additionally, Viking Modular Solutions will supply multiple form-factors, including 1.8-inch and innovative "non-HDD-like" solutions delivering significant value for space constrained and/or rugged applications.
