Mitsubishi selects eASIC's Nextreme ASICs for its Display Wall Cube Systems

Mitsubishi Electric has selected eASIC's Nextreme ASIC devices for its Seventy Series Display Wall Cube Systems, which replaces the existing gate-arrays and improve the video processing system performance by 50%.

Cube Display Wall Systems are big and wide displays fixed to walls inside the control rooms for use in mission-critical applications such as utility control rooms, power stations, traffic control centers and crisis management suites.

Nextreme is a family of NEW ASIC devices, manufactured on 90nm CMOS process by Fujitsu, eASIC's foundry partner. Nextreme features devices ranging from 350K to 5M gates.

eASIC's NEW ASICs feature a 5-week turnaround time from tape-out to prototypes, low up-front development costs, making them alternative to gate array and standard cell ASICs.
