Fresco are Entropic are partnering to develop hybrid receivers for modern TVs
Fresco Microchip and Entropic Communications are partnering to develop low cost silicon-based hybrid receivers for televisions.
The joint effort is aimed at offering quality tuning and demodulation inside small sized module/device. Fresco's FM1150 audio/video demodulator Entropic's EN4020 multi-mode silicon tuner forms the pair.

"The collaboration between Fresco and Entropic will deliver custom reference designs as requested by our customers. By combining the superior performance of Fresco's FM1150 analog demodulator with Entropic's EN4020 silicon tuner, we are delivering a highly integrated solution that offers significant system cost savings and eliminates the traditional tradeoffs associated with discrete tuner and analog demodulator implementations."

Fresco has also received a funding of $10 Million from Celtic House Venture Partners and Ventures West.
Fresco claims, Six of the top nine tuner manufacturers are actively using Fresco's consumer ICs in products such as Television, DVD-R, PVR, and set-top box.
