AT&T and Intel collaborate in providing remote system admin services to SMEs

AT&T and Intel have planned to offer virtual helpdesk for maintaining and administrating PCs and LAPTOPs in small offices remotely.

AT&T Tech Support 360SM is a virtual helpdesk providing live, permission-based remote technical service for SME businesses, is expected to support Intel vPro technology starting in the first half of year 2010.

This first such service in the telecom industry is used by more than 100,000 small businesses in United States.

Tech Support 360 offers assistance in setup, configuration, troubleshooting and performance optimization for PCs, notebooks, smart phones, Wireless networking such as Wi-Fi networks and other peripheral network devices. Technicians troubleshoot costumer's computer system problems by remotely logging into the computers.

This system has the capability to repair the remote computer even due to problems such as hardware, OS failure, or corruption by a virus or malware.
