Amid heavy-loss Panasonic's semiconductor and devices revenues up by 25% on q-o-q basis

Panasonic's semiconductor and other component sales revenue for the quarter ended June 30 2009 is up by approx. 25% to 182.3 billion Yen compared to previous quarter's (ended Mar 31 2009) revenue of 146.8 billion Yen. But compared to the same quarter of last year, the revenue is down by 32%, where the total consolidated revenue for the quarter ended June 30 2008 was 269.3 billion Yen.

Panasonic was registering fall in revenues in its semiconductor and components business from past 3 quarters, it's only from this quarter the curve started tilting upwards.

The total pre-tax loss incurred by company in all segments is 51.8 billion yen.

Panasonic has also announced its going to integrate the system business and the fixed-line communications business.
