Vitesse's storage semiconductor business is sold to Maxim Integrated Products

Maxim Integrated Products has acquired Vitesse's storage semiconductor business for US$63 millions. The products come under this deal are SATA (Serial ATA) and Serial Attach SCSI (SAS) products. It's growing sector. Maxim sales are expected to rise significantly from this buy. More than any application market growth, all this indicates, serial high-speed device business is growing.
