Broadcom acquired Global Locate Inc.

Broadcom has completed the acquisition of GPS products specialist company Global Locate Inc. With surge in the GPS applications in mobiles phone, the market for GPS devices is expected to cross 1 billion by 2012. Broadcom strategically covered this market for future by bringing Global Locates into it's fold.
Broadcom is aiming to become one stop solution for all kinds of mobile phone ICs, which include Bluetooth, WiFi and GSM/CDMA ICs.
