Monster Cable and Gennum partnering to deliver new cable products for HDMI

Monster Cable and Gennum Corporation are developing HDMI connectivity products to be manufactured and sold by Monster.

Monster has announced a host of new products that leverage Gennum's ActiveConnect technology, which will come with Monster's "cable for life" performance guarantee. The cable for life promise ensures customers that if they purchase future audio and/or video components that outstrip the data rate of select Monster cables they have purchased, Monster will upgrade the cables for free.
Gennum's ActiveConnect, key to achieving this performance, provides a miniature,
semiconductor-based solution that is embedded into the cable, wall plate or maximizer.
ActiveConnect provides a "clean and restore" function that enables extremely high rates of data to be transported on the cable without losing any of the signal integrity.
