Simon Yu is appointed as VP and MD for National Semiconductor Asia Pacific region

National Semiconductor has appointed Simon Yu as vice president and managing director for the Asia Pacific region. Yu will be in charge of all sales and marketing functions in Asia Pacific, covering China, Taiwan, Korea, the ASEAN countries, Australia, New Zealand and India. Reporting to Suneil Parulekar, senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing and Sales, Yu replaces Martin Kidgell who left the company in May 2008.

Yu joins National from Arrow Electronics Asia where he served as senior vice president of Arrow North Asia Region for the last two years. He has more than 20 years of sales and marketing experience in the electronics industry with extensive experience in growing market share in Greater China and other parts of the Asia Pacific region.
