Solar Infra announces plans to establish a mega solar plant in India

Solar Infra, Inc. has announced plans to establish a mega manufacturing plant to produce Crystalline PV Module in India. With this announcement, one more company adds up to the list of close to dozen companies who have plans to invest in solar cell manufacturing in India in this year alone.

Larry C Holmberg, Co-founder and CEO of Solar Infra, Inc, announced today at the European PV Solar Energy Conference in Valencia, Spain the launch of the new global company that will provide state-of-the-art photovoltaic modules for the rapidly growing solar industry. This first production plant in India by Solar Infra will be delivering solar modules this year. This will be the first of their international footprint of factories to become operational. Krishna Parimi, co-founder & COO of Solar Infra said,
"Solar Infra's India plant will be at production capacity of 100MW by the end of 2009, with plans to expand to 500 (MW) in annual production over the next five years," He also said, "Solar Infra's India operations are slated to play a key role in its plans for both the European and Asian markets".

Solar Infra, Inc. is established in 2008 to manufacture Crystalline Photovoltaic modules for both residential and commercial applications and has main offices in US (head-office) and India.
