Samsung releases 4TB SSD 990 PRO for gamers and content creators
A new 4-terabyte version of SSD 990 PRO series based on eighth-generation V-NAND (V8) technology and improved proprietary controller released by Samsung.
The 990 PRO series is suggested as ideal SSD for today's PCs, laptops, gaming consoles, and computing systems due to it's ability to provide lightning-fast speeds and maximum power efficiency while supporting huge data quantities, including 3D/4K graphics work, data analytics, and high-quality games. The 990 PRO series provides higher SSD reliability and longevity with improved total bytes written (TBW) ratings of up to 2,400TB, making it the perfect choice for users with heavy workloads and high storage capacity requirements.

The 4TB 990 PRO offers near-max performance in a PCIe 4.0 interface with sequential read speeds of up to 7,450 megabytes-per-second (MB/s) and write speeds of up to 6,900MB/s. Along with 4TB capacity, these solid drives deliver increased random read and write speeds of up to 1,600K and 1,550K IOPS3, making it a good choice for tech enthusiasts, creative professionals, and gamers who want the best performance and storage space.
Using 4TB 990 PRO, mid-game stalls are greatly decreased, and high-quality videos load more quickly, improving the enjoyment and immersion of gamers. The 990 PRO series can assist in reducing lag for high-end games that feature the most recent in game-loading technologies, enabling players to enjoy real-time gameplay experiences with consistently high frames per second (FPS).
