Pen like 360 degree camera with phone app
Vecnos, a spin-off from Ricoh announced the launch of a slim 360-degree camera device IQUI, designed for easy shooting and sharing on social media and other communication platforms. This new camera is designed for use with the previously launched IQUISPIN smart phone app which works with both Apple iOS and android.
The new IQUI camera and IQUISPIN can enable its user to create and share 360 images in a snap. The user of this device can capture and convert 360-degree still photos into a short MP4 video clip consuming lesser memory, which can be shared on any social media platform, as well as email and text.
The cool and nice looking and easy to carry gadget can capture the entire scene around a photographer covering side views and top view . The IQUI has three buttons: power, shutter and a mode button to switch photo or video.
This pen shaped device uses proprietary quad-lens optical system, with three side lenses and one top lens. The maker claims IQUI is significantly smaller than any other 360-degree camera on the market.
Vecnos CEO Shu Ubukata says "IQUI is the first 360-degree camera to achieve this level of compactness, while maintaining a high standard of visual quality and excellent usability. Our goal is for this revolutionary product to bring the fun and inspiration of 360-degree photography to a wider range of consumers."
Priced around US $ 300, it is expected to be available in amazon.com and other retail stores starting 1st of October.
