CriticalBlue's Prism software to support Cavium's OCTEON architectures
CriticalBlue's embedded multicore programming software named Prism can now be used by software developers for building applications on multicore OCTEON and OCTEON II processors. A free 30 day evaluation copy of the Prism Core PSP for cnMIPS can be downloaded from the CriticalBlue website: http://www.criticalblue.com/prism/platforms/cavium/cavium.htm
Prism is an Eclipse-based embedded multicore programming system hat analyzes the behavior of code running on hardware development boards, virtual machines or simulators. Engineers can convert their software program written in sequential code into concurrent code by analyzing their code for concurrency and to identify optimal parallelization strategies through Prism software and use it to verify performance efficiency and thread-safe operations.
Cavium Networks' OCTEON family of Multi-Core MIPS64 processors pack upto thirty-two cnMIPS cores on a single chip, integrate networking I/Os.
