14-bit ADC consumes 122 mW/channel at 125 MSPS and takes less space

Analog Devices, Inc. ( ADI ) has introduced a two-channel, 14-bit, 125-MSPS A/D converter offering 22 percent power saving and 30 percent space savings compared to similar ADC in the market, as per ADI. This ADC is suitable for 3G and 4G multi-standard cellular infrastructure equipment, such as CDMA2000, WB-CDMA, LTE, TD-SCDMA and multi-carrier GSM. Other key applications include battery-powered, hand-held instruments, scopes and portable medical devices.

The dual AD9645 A/D converter consumes 122 mW/channel at 125 MSPS (mega samples per second) and features SFDR (spurious-free dynamic range) performance of 91 dBc at 70 MHz. With an IF sampling range of up to of 200 MHz, the device is designed for use in multi-mode digital receiver architectures. A pin-compatible dual 12-bit version, the AD9635, is also available, enabling an easy migration path between 12-bit and 14-bit converters with sampling rates from 20 MSPS to 125 MSPS.
