20A, DOSA-compliant, DC-DC, 1/8th brick bus converter from Power-One for n/w apps

Power-One, Inc. has introduced the 1/8th brick i-PWER ‘SQE48T20120’. This DOSA-compliant 20A DC-DC bus converter offers a fully-regulated 12 volt isolated output and works across the full 36 to 75 input voltage range. The solution is 94.5% efficient.

The SQE48T20120 converter's thermal performance supports use in extreme environmental and reduced-airflow applications — particularly when thermally-mounted to a system enclosure with the available baseplate.

"The new bus converter being introduced, addresses our customers need for more power at the board level," said Edward Carter, VP and GM Industrial and Transportation Business Unit. "This converter continues to push efficiency higher and improves power density thus reducing the overall size of the power footprint on the customer's board."

The device withstands 100V input transient for 100ms. It meets Basic Insulation requirements and is UL94 V-0 flammability rated. The device operates down to no load conditions and starts up into pre-biased loads.

The i-PWER product also features protection circuitry for hiccup-mode overcurrent, output overvoltage, input undervoltage lockout and overtemperature shutdown.
