mm-wave RF power amplifiers from TriQuint for VSAT and point-to-point radios
TriQuint Semiconductor has released two new RF power amplifiers TGA2527-SM and TGA4539-SM for use in Very Small Aperture Terminals (VSATs) and point-to-point as well as point-to-multipoint microwave applications.
The two RF amplifiers have P1dB RF power output of 30dBm (1W) and are housed in 5 x 5 mm QFN packages. They are RoHS compliant and have onboard power detectors for monitoring purposes. They are easy to integrate into RF circuits and are highly rugged. The TGA2527-SM can handle an RF input power of 24dBm CW and the TGA4539-SM can handle 22dBm.
Specifications of TGA2527-SM:
1. 12.5 to 15.5 GHz (Ku-band) RF power amplifier
2. 30dBm P1dB and 31.5dBm Psat RF output power
3. 41dBm third order intercept
4. 25dB gain
5. 7.5dB noise figure
6. 6VDC at 650mA
TGA4539-SM:
1. 28 to 30 GHz (Ka band) 1W RF power amplifier
2. 30 dBm P1dB and 30.5dBm Psat RF output power
3. 20dB gain
4. 6VDC at 420mA
Both the devices are in production; samples and fully-assembled evaluation fixtures are available.
