IGBT power modules with advanced IGBT chips reduce power equipment size

Fuji Electric Co., Ltd., has developed EasyPIM insulated gate bipolar transistor (IGBT) modules fitted with 6th-generation IGBT chips and plans to commence a sales release of this new product lineup.

EasyPIM modules are suggested for general-purpose inverters equipped in industrial-use air conditioners. The modules can enable machinery to be made smaller and reduce energy consumption. Fuji Electric has expanded its product lineups compatible with products made by Infineon Technologies AG.

Product features:
The modules are designed with two types of pins—press fit pins (used in a method for attaching pins to substrates by applying pressure, not using solder) and solder pins (for compatibility with various kinds of substrates).
Size is 65% smaller for Easy 1B, 45% smaller for Easy 2B than previous Fuji Electric models
