9-19 GHz user selectable band pass filter chip from Hittite
Hittite Microwave Corporation has introduced a new band pass tunable filter chip 'HMC897'. The chip is suitable for pre-selection in advanced communications systems, military radar, EW/ECM, SATCOM, space, industrial and medical systems. This compact, varactor-tuned MMIC filter is stable and tunable over a 9 to 19 GHz frequency range.
Features of the HMC897:
1. Analog tune voltage: 0 and 14V
2. Tuning speed: 200 ns
3. 3 dB filter bandwidth is ~18%; 20 dB filter bandwidth is ~35%
4. Return loss: Typically 10 dB
5. Wideband rejection: At least 30 dB out to 40 GHz
6. Residual phase noise: -160 dBc/Hz at 100 KHz offset
7. Available in a RoHS compliant 4 x 4 mm QFN SMT (HMC897LP4E)
The HMC897 exhibits good microphonic immunity due to the monolithic design, and provides a dynamically adjustable solution which makes it beneficial for use in advanced communications applications.
