Mentor Graphics' Inflexion UI technology used in Vestel's set-top-box

Mentor Graphics Corporation has announced that Vestel Electronics developed its user interface (UI) for its new generation Android-based STB using the Mentor Embedded Inflexion UI product. With the Inflexion UI technology, Vestel created a rich user interface that includes 3D perspectives, and mirrored like surfaces. The STB's graphics hardware acceleration capability is unlocked by the Inflexion UI tool enabling Vestel to deliver these advanced features, fluid graphics, and transitions to its STB customers.

The Inflexion product enables developers to create graphically rich, dynamic 2D and 3D Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs). HMIs and HMI logic are developed, managed and configured using the interactive Inflexion UI Express PC tool, and then run on an embedded engine. By providing a clean separation between HMI presentation and functionality, Inflexion helps simplify the interface between HMI designers, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and their customers.
