Samsung GALAXY S III powered by NXP's NFC chips

NXP Semiconductors has announced that its PN65 mobile transactions solution to power the Samsung GALAXY S III that brings a new concept of human centric mobile experience. The highly anticipated Samsung GALAXY S III is the successor of the Samsung GALAXY S II.

The Samsung GALAXY S III engages mobile users with a 4.8 inch display, an 8MP camera and a fast quad core processor. NXP provides the NFC functionality for the smart phone GALAXY S III.

Powered by Google's Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, the Samsung GALAXY S III supports secure NFC applications, such as wallets being launched by mobile network operators, card associations and other such as Google's Wallet. NXP's PN65 delivers good performance and seamless interoperability with various mobile use cases such as payment, transportation, access control and NFC tag reading.
