Piledriver CPU core based Trinity processors from AMD as Ivy Bridge competitors

AMD has unveiled new processor chip family called Trinity for the latest notebook computers and ultra book computers. These A-Series Application Processor Units also targets all-in-one PCs, traditional desktops, and embedded system boards. Trinity has all the ingredients to compete with Intel's Ivy Bridge processors.

The product highlights are:
2x performance per watt of power consumption and the graphic core performance is 56% higher over the previous generation.
Can deliver 700 Gflops of computing performance by both CPU and GPU in combination.
Churns the HD video data faster using HD Media Accelerator.
The power is shifts dynamically between CPU and GPU based on the application needs.
The CPU frequencies are rated upto 3.2 Giga Hertz.
Ultrabooks can be used for 12 hours by using these processor chips.
Offers better video experience with plug-ins for Google Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer 9.
Optimized for Adobe Photoshop CS6, WinZip 16.5 and VLC Media Player.
