Linear introduces broadband RF mixer for 4G wireless base stations
Linear Technology has announced the 300MHz to 4GHz downconverting mixer 'LTC5567' with IIP3 (Input Third Order Intercept) of 26.9dBm, power consumption of 294mW, and IF bandwidth of 2.5GHz. This mixer supports 4G wireless base stations and high dynamic range receiver applications.
The LTC5567's enables operation in any of the cellular bands from 700MHz to 2.7GHz. The mixer's IF output has a frequency range of 5MHz to 2500MHz, supporting applications such as cable TV downlink transmitters and digital predistortion (DPD) receivers. The RF input is designed to withstand in-band blocking signals, while delivering a noise figure of 16.5dB with a +5dBm blocker.
Other features of LTC5567 are
1. Conversion gain: 1.9dB
2. Noise figure (NF): 11.8dB
3. Operate at single-ended with 50Ohm input impedance from 1.4GHz to 3GHz
4. Temperature range: -40°C to 105°C
5. Package: 4 x 4 mm QFN package
The LTC5567 is priced at $6.50 each in 1,000-piece quantities.
