Android 2.3/4.0 smart phone chips supporting TD-SCDMA and EDGE/WiFi

Spreadtrum Communications has announced the commercial availability of the 1GHz TD-SCDMA Android platform ASC8810 and the 1GHz EDGE/Wifi Android platform SC6820. Both these platforms support Android 2.3 and Android 4.0 designs.

The SC8810 and SC6820 supports sub-$100 unsubsidized retail price points and have been adopted by China and global OEMs to address the demand for low-cost smartphones. The solutions are designed into handsets that are expected to launch commercially starting in May.
Spreadtrum Communications has also announced the commercial availability of the 2.5G baseband designed in 40nm CMOS silicon SC6530.

The SC6530 is the first 2.5G product from Spreadtrum incorporating an ARM9 processor for high performance on a low-cost platform, and supports quad-band GSM/GPRS, triple-SIM function, HVGA display, H.264 decode and integrates an audio PA.
